Product design for B-centered
I reconnected with a ex-colleague on LinkedIn as he was looking to realise his business idea of making an app to connect business coaches to managers who want to learn how to develop their staff. An app that could deliver this one-to-one training (messaging, live video and calls) seemed even more relevant during lockdown with people working from home. He needed someone who knew about creating digital products and this is where I came in.
Having shared a case study he made whilst giving business coaching to students at the London School of Economics, we discussed different angles to take and then I started my research into apps in the field of coaching, therapy and meditation.
Using Invision Studio, I mapped out the multiple user journeys for coaches, managers and HR professionals. Below is a snippet of the UX design.
Below is a simulation of navigating the app.
As well as the app, I designed a browser version so that users could access the coaching from their laptop.
NatWest Card Recycling Machine - Prototype
As banks try to become more green recycling has become an extremely important topic. I was asked to work on Natwest’s first card and pin pad recycling machine (it also recycles plastic bottles). It was an exciting project as this is the first-ever card recycling machine so we had to put a lot of thought into how the user will interact with it, from the ‘packaging’ 3D design down to the UX/UI design. The art direction is in line with NatWest’s Green campaign. There were many requirements to tackle principally how to make sure that it will be a useful and practical machine with a simple clear user journey and UI that stays in line with the NatWest brand.
I used InVision, Sketch, Adobe XD and Figma for the UX/UI and prototyping. After Effects for animations with Lottie Files. And Cinema 4D for the 3D visualisation.
